Mis amados padres Alejandro y Rita
Our loved parents live in Guatemala City, sadly, in February 11th, both were diagnosed with COVID-19. My brother in law whom is a Doctor was taking care of them in their house; however, the illness affected my parents lungs with neumonía and we had to take them to the hospital and the same day my parents were hospitalized , my brother in law was diagnosed COVID-19 positive, but he was able to recover at his home, we were sad for him but at least his symptoms were not too bad to be in the hospital. Today, he is still under recovering and he is feeling better every day; we are so grateful for this. In regards of my parents, they are still hospitalized, both were under oxygen therapy for 1 week, Then, they were transferred to the intensive care; currently, they are in that area since then connected to a ventilator. My mother is 65 years old and she has previous health conditions that are delaying her recovering and my father is 66 years, he had a good health condition but this virus was too strong for both, Both are struggling with the illnesses and they want to live, we are praying every day because we know God will do his miracle for our parents, we believe in God!!!
My siblings and I, didn’t know how bad the COVID-19 will affect our parents and how expensive will be the hospital and treatment; now, we have made some payments to the hospital, but the bill is too high and we don’t know how much more the hospital will charge because we don’t know how many days more my parents will remain hospitalized. We are bringing this very sad story to you and we’re asking for help to cover the hospital expenses. We want to touch your heart and want to thank you for any help you can give us, we know and pray to God that your assistance will be turn to blessings for you and your families. We are four siblings, we are doing everything we could to take care of our parents and to pay the hospital expenses, but our resources are limited and it is why we respectfully, honestly and humbly come to your heart to ask you for help. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help, we also ask you for your prayers not only for our parents but for all sick people around the world. God put his hands in all people going through an illness and bring them health and blessing.
Thank you for reading our story
