Misfit Cabaret Thrive Fund
Donation protected
Update! Misfit Cabaret is making a movie! Kat and I truly appreciate everything that you, our friends and family, have made possible for us. without you this new project would not exist. Our initial fundraiser helped us pay our performers, our non refundable expenses and our monthly bills. This next leg of fundraising will be devoted to creating art and everyone that has donated or donates to this project will be recognized in the movie. thank you so much for standing by us as we figure out this world we live in. *********************Dearest Darling Misfits,In light of COVID-19, and the resulting disruption of live entertainment everywhere, Misfit Cabaret is in a state of uncertainty. As you may already be aware, Misfit Cabaret has had to cancel our Seattle show due to guidelines about public gatherings from the CDC, and we are not sure if and when we will be able to reschedule. We also, as of this moment, do not know if we will be able to perform our SF show, “Summer Camp” for you in May, or how many of our beloved performers will be able to stay in the Bay Area in the wake of this crisis.Misfit Cabaret has ongoing operational costs that need to be covered over the next two shows, including rent, ads, and costume/prop/set costs. We would also like to be able to pay performers who we have already hired for the upcoming shows and help them in any way we can. Unfortunately, without the ability to sell tickets to shows, we cannot afford to do these things. This is why we are asking for your support. If you are fortunate enough to have your wages unimpacted by COVID-19 or are otherwise in a position to support local art, the Misfit Cabaret team would be eternally grateful for your support. Every little bit helps. Most of the initial funds will go directly into the hands of the performers out of work from our Seattle show and will help us recoup money on advertising. Everything beyond that will help Misfit Cabaret plan for future expenses as we all continue to stay safe through social distancing. Misfit Cabaret is proud to be a part of the Bay Area community and we are excited for our future with you. Jordan and Kat began Misfit Cabaret out of a 100 seat private theater in SOMA and in 5 years have grown into the 500 seat Alcazar Theater, as well as expanding to Seattle and Los Angeles. We will continue to work hard to provide unique and heart-driven entertainment for you and look forward to the days when we can dance on stage with you again. Thank you so much for your continued support of Misfit Cabaret. We will get through this together! With Love and Hope,Kat and Jordan
