Miss Black Arkansas Talented Teen

Hi!! My name is Adrienne Shelton and I am your Miss Black Arkansas Talented Teen. I will be representing the state of Arkansas at the National Miss Black USA pageant in Washington D.C. on August 2-7th. I’m passionate about so many issues but I’m using my platform to bring attention to the importance of self-love and growth, especially in our youth. I struggled with very low self-esteem and it ruined any confidence I had. I’ve done the work over these past few years and I want young girls and boys to know that they’re not alone. I’ve noticed it’s an issue many young people struggle with but don’t talk about. I intend to bring awareness and start conversations about this topic and create a comfortable, open environment where students can express themselves productively and safely. Over the course of my reign, I intend on visiting schools, holding those important but “hard” conversations and being an advocate for self-love, in all of its forms. I will use my voice to help others find theirs. Your support means a lot to me and is greatly appreciated. Help me represent Arkansas well!
