Support Ms. Debbie, local community activist
Miss Debbie is a powerhouse like no other. Many of us know her from her soft-spoken voice rolling besides us at a community organizing meeting or strolling with her up Capitol Hill. Miss Debbie has known no shortage of hardship and heartache in her life. Yet she always manages to share a smile and laugh as she works to make her community a better place for all. Whether she's leading NA meetings, driving people to appointments, voicing her beliefs in the halls of Congress, or just enjoying a cupcake with a neighbor, Miss Debbie has always been there for the people of Alamance County and beyond.
Now, Miss Debbie needs our assistance. Due to medical changes in the family, Miss Debbie can no longer use her van independently. She cannot lift her wheelchair in and out. She needs a van that she can independently roll in and out of safely. Without this van, Miss Debbie will face challenges with transportation. And, for those of us who know Miss Debbie, the inability to participate in a local action or Bail Fund bailout is beyond frustrating. Miss Debbie deserves the freedom to travel like all of us who are able-bodied.
Miss Debbie has helped so many of us. It's now our time to help her.
Let's give Miss Debbie a new ride!
