Miss Faversham Charity Fundraising for Faversham Food Bank

Hello, my name is Isabelle Barnes. I am 16 years old, and I am Miss Faversham 2024.

I am honoured to have the opportunity to represent my town and am proud to be a role model for children in Faversham and around Kent. I have had the most amazing time as Miss Faversham so far this year, and it has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. From being junior Miss Faversham princess, to junior Miss Faversham, then to becoming a senior princess for 2 years, now being Miss Faversham, it has honestly been the most amazing journey ever. I have made so many forever friends that I am so incredibly grateful to have, and to be part of the Faversham Carnival Court, which has become a second family to me.

As a part of my role as Miss Faversham I have had the honour of picking a local charity to raise money for and support. The charity I have chosen to raise money for this year is the Faversham Food bank. The reason I have chosen to support this charity is because lots of people not just in Faversham are going through tough times and are struggling and need to rely on food banks. I have set myself a goal to raise as much money as possible this year and hope that it does make a difference to even if it is big or small. So far, I have raised just over a thousand pounds for the food bank, and I am beyond thankful to anybody who helped make this possible. I would also like to say thank you to my court, Rosie, Lexi, Belle, Alyssia, Maddie, and Ellie for being an amazing court this year and helping me be the best Miss Faversham I can be and to our amazing committee, as without their support I would never have been able to become Miss Faversham and have this amazing opportunity without them.
