Ms Freyja Luna's Parvo Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Miss Freyja Luna and her dad Mike are in need of some assistance to raise funds to help Freyja with her hopeful recovery from Parvovirus. It's unfortunately not guaranteed, but Mike got Freyja to an expert facility early on and so far, she seems to be doing well.
Parvo is a brutal virus that affects puppies and dogs who are unvaccinated from the disease. It wreaks havoc on their gastrointestinal system, and the only way to get through it is to be constantly monitored and on IV fluids around the clock. Parvo is everywhere, and despite Mike's efforts to keep Freyja out of harms way, we suspect she may have already had the virus before entering Mike's loving home. Mike also learned that with the recent rains, there has been a rise in Parvo cases because the virus has been brought up to the surface of the ground this literally could have come from anywhere!
Mike is not one to ask for help and is only doing so because he wants to ensure Freyja gets all the help necessary. She is at FIX Long Beach Pets, and so far, between her initial stay there and the emergency visit at a local VCA hospital, he has spent $3000. We are asking for $3500 which will cover 2 additional days at the FIX facility.
Any funds not utilized towards Freyja's care will go directly to FIX in the form of a donation to help other puppies fighting this virus.
