Miss Linda the "Ya-ka-Mein Lady" Relief Fun
Donation protected
Whether it was at a second line or at Jazz Fest, if you’ve had Miss Linda Green’s cooking, then you know her love and passion for New Orleans food. Miss Linda IS the Ya-ka-Mein Lady of New Orleans, a beloved street food vendor and festival legend, renowned for her cooking and beloved for her generosity. She has helped countless people in so many ways through her life.
Now she needs our help, and we are rallying to keep her cooking and keep her healthy. Miss Linda has been contending with severe health issues which had her in the hospital for over 2.5 months over the holidays. She is thankfully easing back into cooking for us all but there are serious questions on how to raise the money she will need to participate in both French Quarter Fest and Jazz Fest this year.
After much thought and consideration from many people the decision was made for Miss Linda to proudly and humbly raise her Ya-ka-Mein Fork (because we all know you don't use a spoon to eat Ya-ka-Mein) and ask all of those from around the world to help raise funds needed to get her back on her feet and make sure she can participate in the big festivals she relies on to support herself.
Please join us in supporting Miss Linda , and making sure her contributions remain a vibrant part of New Orleans culture.
