Miss Pearl the rescue Weiner dog

Miss Pearl is 13 years young and was enjoying her life with trips to the beach with her brother Emmet and daily walks .

Pearl is a rescue and survived so so much in her short time on earth, with emergency back surgery and then crystals embedded in her bladder which nearly ruptured a year later.

On the evening of December 2nd she took a turn for the worse with laboured breathing, coughing and not eating.

after X-rays, blood test’s & ultrasounds the conclusion was a type of Pneumonia which caused her lungs to fill with fluid & restricted oxygen getting into her lungs, she was immediately put into an oxygen incubator & was feed antibiotics & fluids through a drip. She needed around the clock monitoring for 4 days & 3 nights.

On Thursday Pearl was weened off the oxygen & was stable enough to come home.

She is now doing amazing & is expected to make a full recovery.

The vet costs have been enormous with overnight monitoring at emergency care averaging $1500-2000 a night & $600-1000 per day.

Any help towards her care is immensely appreciated and needed.
