Miss Peyton’s Leukemia Journey
Donation protected
On Wednesday February 27th Peyton was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic B-cell Leukemia (ALL).
The road to healing will be long. Peyton will be on a treatment program designed by the Children’s Oncology Group consisting of three phases. The first phase, which Peyton has already began, is 29 days of vigorous chemotherapy treatments. These 29 days will be spent in the hospital, in a very sterile environment as her immune system has been comprised by the Lukemia. After these 29 days Peyton should be able to return home.
The next phase of Peyton’s cancer treatment consists of a few months of chemotherapy and steroid treatments where we will be commuting to Sacramento anywhere from once a week, to up to 4 days a week.
The third phase is maintenance, requiring routine chemotherapy and steroids, drawing out the rest of 2 1/2 years.
Any donations to Peyton’s Fund are greatly appreciated!
