Miss Sadie's Fight
Donation protected
They say it takes a village to raise a child, and 4 year old Sadie and the Middletons need our village now.
Sadie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on Christmas Eve, 2019. This is a cancer that develops in the blood due to too many lymphoblasts (type of white blood cell). This cancer will develop and get worse quickly. Early treatment is imperative.
Treatment for ALL is quite aggressive in the first few months as the primary goal is remission however treatment can last 2-3 years.
Side effects of treatment for young Sadie could include nausea and vomiting, hair loss, reduced resistance to infection, bruising and bleeding, fatigue and more.
Sadie will have countless treatment appointments both in-clinic and at Sick Kid's Hospital in Toronto, ON.
Any monies donated to this GoFundMe will go directly to the Middleton family to offset parking costs, time off work to take Sadie for treatment, any medical expenses that incur and peace of mind financially as they all take on this fight. These funds could also help connect the Middletons to resources for activities and services specifically for children with cancer including support groups for parents and siblings, camps etc.
Julie, Robert, and their 3 children are an active part of their community in the Beaches, Toronto where their children are involved in different sports and extra curricular. Rob works full time and Julie has her own local, accounting business.
I had the pleasure of attending elementary school with Rob and high school with these two amazing people and now live in Western Canada. Since I cannot be in Ontario to assist them hands-on, I wanted to find a way that I can help and for others to help as well.
Any amount will help alleviate financial stress for this young family as they battle this illness with their sweet Sadie over the next two years or so. I know they would do this for others in the same situation in a heart-beat. They are a wonderful family and so very grateful for everything people have done for them thus far.
My sincerest thanks for your gracious contributions.
