UPDATE! JAY HAS BEEN FOUND AND IS SAFE. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY FURTHER DONATIONS AT THIS TIME. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. YOUR SUPPORT MEANS MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPRESS. UPDATE! Rules of GoFundMe state that I, as administrator of this campaign, must describe my relationship to the campaign. I am a cousin to the family, specifically Jay's first cousin once removed. It was suggested by others who have gone though a missing person ordeal to start this campaign to help cover expenses incurred in relation to a search effort. I was looking for a way to assist my family from afar, so when asked to administer, I gladly accepted the task. The funds will be used to reimburse the family of Jay Rosenberger for expenses that were incurred by them while they searched for Jay. The funds be withdrawn on his behalf and distributed to those who incurred expenses. Each expense has been submitted to me for review/approval. Jay has then requested that any remaining funds be donated to a charity. Jay was last seen on Friday, Jan 24th at 11pm at the Village Green hotel where he works at as the Manager. He was supposed to return to work and had plans with friends the next day but never showed up. He has not been active on social media and his cell phone is turned off or dead.  Jay’s car is missing as well – it is a 2002 SILVER MAZDA 626 British Columbia License Plate JV2 76F. Police are involved. From his sister, Holly “I can’t believe I’m writing this post, it feels like we are in a nightmare we can’t wake up from”. Family has arrived from Edmonton and are staying in Vernon to coordinate search efforts and is tasked with trying to piece everything together in unfamiliar territory. We are flooded with inquires as to how people can help.  You can join the Facebook group "MISSING: JAY ROSENBERGER"(https://www.facebook.com/groups/2679652622088794/?ref=share ), while locals to Vernon can assist in search efforts, and anyone can still assist by lightening the financial burden associated with this kind of search effort.  We know people want to help and while Jay’s family is in Vernon, they are away from their jobs and income, while their bills at home are still coming due.  Food, gas, costs of supplies for a search effort, and just everyday living expenses are a thought the family shouldn’t have to worry about at this difficult time. Your contribution will help the family’s ability to stay on with the search.
