ACT Missing Snorkeler and 39 weeks pregnant wife
Donation protected
We are from a small church in Gungahlin, Canberra, ACT, and we are reaching out to the wider community for help on behalf of our friend who has been struck by tragedy. We stepped in as the person concerned has no close family in Canberra, and she has approved our appeal.
We are devastated by a tragedy that struck one of our families last week.
Some of you might have already read in the local news, but a 39-year-old man from Canberra went missing while snorkelling in the Batemans' Bay area last Monday, 25th January. He is still missing as of Sunday, and his family is desperate for his return.
You can see the news in the following links: https://www.canberratimes.com.au/story/7099818/police-search-for-missing-snorkeller-on-south-coast/
It is especially sad as the family was waiting for the imminent arrival of a new baby. He has a 39-week pregnant wife and two boys, 10 and 6 years old, respectively. The poor boys went on the trip with their father and other families, and they came back home without him fearing the worst.
His distraught wife is due to give birth any minute. She is trying her best to stay strong as she has two boys, soon to be three, to look after by herself. She is going through the worst possible nightmare when it should have been the most blissful time of waiting for a new baby. Despite her efforts to stay calm, she is extremely fearful and worried about how she can support and raise her children alone.
Nothing could ever replace the loss of her husband, but she needs all the help she can get to get back on her feet and make a future with her children.
Your kind and valuable donations will be used for:
Taking care of the baby, paying rent, child care support, food and urgent living expense until she becomes well enough to work.
