Volunteering in Cambodia

Hi, my name is Susie Law and I am volunteering for a week in Cambodia with the veterinary charity Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) to save lives against Rabies. Rabies kills 1 in 9 people (mainly children). The disease kills approximately 59,000 people globally every year and Cambodia has one of the highest rabies deaths rates per capita of any country in the world. Around 300 vaccination teams, which includes myself and three Vet Nurse students from Donegal, will vaccinate as many dogs as we can, educate children and adults on the dangers of Rabies and try and reduce the death rate of this preventable disease.
