What Is the Mission Step Up?
Mission Step Up is a student-led organization based at Arlington Catholic in Arlington, MA, that is dedicated to helping the communities around us. We have coordinated various drives for school supplies, donated to homeless shelters in Cambridge, MA and organized a free tutoring service to enrich the students of our communities. We understand that this pandemic has changed our lives, and we have made it our mission to gather support and funds from our communities to send aid to Brazil and India. Here at Mission Step Up, we believe that it is our responsibility to help the underprivileged citizens of India and Brazil by collaborating with DWB India and the Brazil Foundation to provide direct relief.
Who will benefit from your donation?
The recent surge in COVID-19 cases in India and Brazil have exhausted hospitals of ventilators, oxygen supplies, and beds needed for treating patients battling COVID-19. As the pandemic continues to overwhelm India and Brazil’s healthcare systems, hospitals are left with no other choice than to turn away patients. With over 400,000 deaths in Brazil, and 200,000 deaths in India, we must aid India and Brazil in joining the fight against COVID-19. With your simple donation, we can support hundreds of families and healthcare professionals on the frontlines through the implementation of more medical supplies, better technology, and increased access to food.
Your contribution will go directly towards BrazilFoundation and Doctors without Borders India. Using your donation, BrazilFoundation will work to distribute food and hygiene kits to communities and families in need. Alternatively, DWB will send support to hospitals through field workers, provide medical supplies and assistance, and work with community nutrition officers to ensure that the people of India are getting the help they require. Ultimately, the citizens of both countries will benefit greatly from your donation.
Every donation counts!
