Mission Trip to San Pedro, Dominican Republic

Friends and Family,

I am excited to share with you the opportunity I have to go on a short-term mission trip to San Pedro, Dominican Republic with a group from Refuge Church. As God wills, I will be there serving from July 15-22. We will be partnering with a Haitian National, Juan, who is eager for us to come and serve the members of his foundation (Children of Peace Foundation) and community. Due to his personal experience living in poverty as a child, he has a heart for serving the people of the DR and restoring the lives of children. He is passionate about helping kids stay off the streets and guide them on a path of success through the power of Jesus Christ.

As we arrive, some of the ministries that were expressed as needs include construction for some homes in the area, hosting a Vacation Bible School program, helping to facilitate a medical clinic, and visiting locals to deliver food packs.

I am excited to partner with my church family to bring Christ’s love to the people of the Dominican Republic, and I realize I will be blessed abundantly in return. However, as I know God is calling me to serve, I am relying on Him for strength and wisdom as I prepare myself and raise financial support. I know all good things come from Him; for if it is His will, all will be provided. As I have now expressed my heart to you and desire to serve in the DR this summer, I know that I am not able to do it on my own. As you feel called, I would be blessed if you would consider supporting me prayerfully and/or financially.

I am also seeking prayer partners to pray for our group, the ministries, safety, the people of the Dominican Republic, and the trip as a whole each day. If it is in your heart to be a prayer partner for us, I would feel just as blessed; it takes all of us as the body of Christ. And if you feel God calling you to support me financially, please know that your gifts will be received gracefully and will be used to serve those who are in need.
