Mission Ukraine

Mission Ukraine has been set up by British and Ukrainian nationals. We support medics, evacuation teams, hospitals, small towns and villages throughout Ukraine who are in need of supplies and equipment. 

Our volunteer drivers deliver the aid directly to the hands of those in need. ALL donated funds go where they should and proper records are kept. 

Our work is organized in “Missions” with specific goals and deadlines. Our current mission is "Mission Offroad Rescue" Summary We are buying 4*4 SUVs or vans and are converting them to a medical rescue vehicles, which allows the medical personnel to evacuate wounded from hard to reach areas while providing basic medical help.

In detail Currently the evacuation of wounded is mostly done in two stages: firstly the injured is loaded in a pickup to move through off-road terrain and then transferred to an ambulance. No extra medical aid such as IV drips and wound inspection can be administered in a pickup, so our aim is to convert off-road vehicles to 

1) allow the administration of extra medical help 

2) create a 1-step process.

Although such custom-made vehicles already exist, these are bespoke solutions are typically more than £15000 per used vehicle without delivery costs. Our total budget allows a 4*4 van or SUV conversion at £5500, where up to £4500 are spent on the vehicle, under £1000 on basic conversion. 

We have surveyed various medics, paramedics and evacuation teams and came up with the minimal necessary requirements for such vehicles. Hence, the functionality of the basic conversion allows for: - Enough space for a stretched casualty and a paramedic - Washable floors and sides - Thin aluminium preventing glass from shattering - Extra-bright LED lights to allow casualty inspection - Holder for an IV system - Wall pockets for medical items - Space for equipment such as lunge ventilation and patient monitors, Depending on the specific request we can also arrange - A bullet proof shield on the engine and vehicle sides - A defibrillator Only a select number of car models are large enough for the conversion. 

The off-road 4*4 SUVs include only: Mitsubishi Pajeros (Shoguns), Toyota Land Cruisers, Nissan Patrols The off-road 4*4 Vans include: VW T1, Mitsubishi Delica and other 4*4 vans with sufficient clearance. 

The first prototype “RO1” has been delivered to the Donetsk region on the 10/03/2023 and has been approved by the paramedics
