Missionary Inhee Won's recovery

Hi there,
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page and read Missionary Won's story.
After almost two decades of serving a local church in the greater Baltimore region, Missionary Won made the move to Haiti in 2016 with the sole purpose of spreading the Gospel and loving God’s people. She once wrote in a letter: “God will fulfill his will to cover every corner of Haiti with the knowledge of Him by raising up the youth. They will rise up in fiery passion for the glory of God.” In the past few years, she endured a lot of challenging times - the COVID-19 pandemic and the incredible, history-altering political unrest in Haiti that has led to a spike in crimes like kidnappings, extortion and murders. Despite these circumstances, Missionary Won felt convicted to continue the work of loving on the people of Haiti alongside her community of local pastors, friends and disciples.
On June 22nd, Missionary Won was transferred from Haiti to Fort Lauderdale, Florida after suffering health complications that required immediate attention that local hospitals in Haiti could not provide. We’ve since found out that she has acquired a devastating injury to the brain (central pontine myelinolysis) that has taken away her ability to move, communicate, or eat. We are grateful to God that the injuries sustained did not pose an immediate threat to her life, but the doctors have said now that the road to recovery may be a long journey.
We share her story to humbly ask for your support.
Please join us in praying for her. Pray that God will bring miraculous healing and complete recovery. Pray that God will provide wisdom to the doctors, nurses and medical staff who are working tirelessly to care for her. Please also pray for Haiti and the people in Haiti for whom this is the way of life - many are unable to receive or afford proper medical care and face much harsher consequences every day. Pray that God will bring peace and comfort to her community of friends and disciples back in Haiti who are also anxiously waiting and praying for her recovery.
Please join us in financially supporting her and her family. After realizing that Missionary Won’s condition was severe and there was nothing the local hospitals in Haiti could do for her, a private air ambulance was hired to transfer her to the closest emergency room in the States. The costs accrued so far are around $28,000 and we expect these costs to increase because the doctors have said that she will need to continue receiving medical care and rehabilitation therapy long-term. The local hospital bills from Haiti are around $3,000, with the 2.5 hour helicopter ride from Haiti to Florida alone being $24,500. We are in the process of figuring out what her medical bills in Florida will amount to and are also researching skilled nursing facilities to transfer her to. Any support, big or small, would be an incredible gift.
Donations will go to Haiti Mission USA, a non-profit, and 100% of the funds will be used to support Missionary Won’s medical bills and her family as they navigate this hard chapter of their lives.
We believe God will move mountains and fill every need, and we are grateful for your generosity and willingness to join us in supporting Missionary Won.
