Medical Mission Trip to Belize

Hello Everyone!
As I am sure you are aware I am attending Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy. This path in life has presented me with an amazing opportunity. There are not many times in life where an individual has the chance to combine some of the loves and interests they have. I have been invited to use my love for people, the medical field, travel, and most important, the Lord, to really make a difference.
I am very excited about this opportunity that has been presented to me. I have been invited to go on a medical/recreation mission trip with Sports Reach. Sports Reach, a Christian sports ministry based in Kentucky, has put together a very unique mission trip to Belize, March 23-30, 2016. We will be working with local doctors dealing with some of the medical needs for children, distribute needed clothing and shoes, lead recreation clinics, and share about Jesus. Fellow classmates of mine as well as some faculty and some fellow graduate students from the Physician Assistant Program at Sullivan University are planning on sharing this experience together.
Sports Reach was founded 30 years ago, by former Kentucky star Larry Pursiful and Robby Speer, Sports Reach has taken teams all over the world sharing the Good News of Jesus. On this trip, we will be using our time to use various talents to show how much Jesus cares for the people we meet. Along with all the medical and recreation events that we will lead, we will be having daily Bible studies with the hope that God will really show us some things about our lives.
This is a trip that will make a great deal of difference in the lives of many people and for that we are excited. Matthew 9:37 says, “The fields are ripe unto harvest but the laborers are few.” I want to be one of the laborers that go.
For this to happen, I would like for you to prayerfully consider being a team partner on this trip. I would ask that you be a prayer partner for our trip. We want this trip to make a difference in the lives of many and prayer is essential. I would also ask that you prayerfully consider being a financial partner. The total cost of the trip is between $1700-$2100 which helps to cover my travel, housing, food and transportation while there sharing Gods message with those who are less fortunate than we are here in our wonderful community. This is a time that I am just stepping out on faith and trusting God. I have been looking for a way to strengthen my walk with Christ and I know He wants me to go, so I am going. I am anxiously waiting to see what God has in store for all of us. I just ask that you pray for my mission team, as we are getting ready and going on this great mission opportunity.
The support of my community has always been a big part of my upbringing and your support now would be greatly appreciated. Your thoughts and prayers and any contribution I receive would be able to bring a new sense of being to myself and I can’t wait to explore this opportunity!
