Miss New Orleans USA 2015
Donation protected
Many of you may be wondering why my $10,000 goal is so high or you may think it is excessive for a pageant...well it is, but for a good cause. I have noticed how Go-Fund Me not only helps raise money for people and organizations, but it also helps raise awareness. So, I want to use my go-fund me to not only help raise funds to help me get to Miss Louisiana-USA 2016, but to also raise awareness for local organizations in New Orleans. Yes some of the money will be used to help with my competition fees, but I will also be donating a portion to various philanthropic organizations around the city of New Orleans! I will post a few organizations that are near and dear to my heart that I will definitely be giving donations to, but I would also like to hear from YOU... Share some of your favorite local philanthropies with me and I will do my best to reach out and help as many as I can!
Before making your decision let me tell you a little bit about exactly who Christina Marie Famularo is. I am a 23 year New Orleans native that was raised in a giant, loving Italian family. I graduated from Mount Carmel Academy, then from Louisiana State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. During my time at LSU I served as Miss LSU-USA 2011 (where I placed 2nd Runner Up at Miss Louisiana USA that year!), I was the philanthropy director for my sorority Zeta Tau Alpha where we promote Breast Cancer Education & Awareness, and involved in a multitude of other organizations around campus. Currently, I am the Project Engineer at Abadie-Williams, LLC, which is a privately owned Oil and Gas Consulting firm. I like to say that I am the Brunette, Engineer version of Elle Woods. As Miss Louisiana-USA I want to promote the significance of education, and inspire both young men and women to turn a deaf ear to stereotypes set by society, and have the confidence and courage to chase their dreams.
