Hey everyone. Yesterday started off like any other, us all piled in my moms bed talking and laughing. We were making plans for Easter to come visit family. My mom had been feeling good and was working on getting herself better for us. We had started working out and eating better. We all thought she was doing amazing. My mom took my sister to work at 2:30 and came home to get ready for her Dr appointment. At around 3:30 I was outside with my baby girl and sent Derek to go check on her bc she wasn’t answering when we called her name. That’s when we found her and she was gone. We aren’t sure what happened, but it was completely unexpected. We moved to Pittsburgh a few years ago mostly for healthcare system up here. However, all of our family and our people are in Louisiana. Now we have to have her brought home and it’s going to cost so much. We weren’t expecting this at all, and with Covid and everything that has happened to our family in the last year, we have no savings or anything to help take care of this. We thought we would have more time, decades left with her. My mom was the strongest, most selfless person I’ve ever known. She had been through more in her life than anyone should ever have to go through, but that never stopped her from being there and supporting the people around her. She lived for our family. My parents have never been ones to ask for help from anyone, but I’m not sure what else I can do. Anything would help us. We just want to bring her home to rest. Thank you so much.
