Mitch needs top surgery.

Our beloved Mitch is turning 40 this year and requires top surgery. All that know Mitch knows he is the sweetest, most caring, incredible guy and that he always goes out of his way to support others. This is our opportunity to show him that support back. Community support is critical in obtaining gender affirming health services that are increasingly unattainable for so many of us. Gender affirming care is life saving. Living remote increases the expenses for surgery as well as meaning significant travel and being away from community support during the early healing, on top of the already prohibitive cost of surgery. Mitch’s partner Teddy has family in Meanjin and they can provide accomodation for the recovery period Mitch has secured a surgery date with Dr. Saylor in July and is excited. Below is a cost breakdown of expenses, any money raised will go towards these. A cost breakdown includes: Airfares from Mparntwe to Meanjin for Mitch and Teddy- $2200 Surgeon fees- $9310 Anaesthetist- $2550 Hospital fee- $2678 Pysch- $800 Unpaid time off work- $2000 Total: $18848 Mitch understands the state of the world and that there is huge need and many people that require support, this has been a challenging process and he wants to thank everyone for their support.
