Mitch Rapoport Funeral Expenses

Last week we suddenly lost a wonderful man: our beloved Mitch Rapoport. He was truly one of a kind. His personality was bigger than life. Mitch was kind, funny, humble, witty, sensitive, always up for a prank, a jokester with a fabulous sense of humor, and generous with his friends, family, and those in need. People turned to him everyday for advice and he always graciously offered to help. In past years, he was well-known for dressing up as Santa Claus and made appearances around the county; he made sure he could bring solace and gifts to less fortunate families and their children. Having known Mitch for many years, I've always regarded him as brilliant. He excelled at everything he did; his insatiable desire to entertain was contagious and his incredible mind was always admired. As a friend said, "He was a mensch; he was hilarious, kind, and gifted." The book he just published was an accomplishment he was so proud of. Even in the face of adversity and incredible health challenges, he always kept a positive attitude and worked tirelessly to achieve his goals with a smile. I know he was missing Bette Lou, his wife and soulmate of 40+ years, immensely, but he was still always concerned about everyone's well being. He is now at peace, back in Bette's arms, driving her crazy I'm sure, and making heavens laugh as only HE could!


 
His family is facing extreme financial challenges and I wanted to start this fundraiser to help them out with funeral expenses. They are drowning in sorrow and I would love for all of us to come together to show our support; it is undeniable that Mitch was well-loved and a respected pillar of our community, both personally and professionally. Mitch deserves to be sent off on his final journey with compassion, dignity, and love. All proceeds will be used for funeral arrangements and lingering medical bills. Any amount you can contribute will be tremendously helpful and appreciated. I know his family will be extremely grateful for the kind gesture, as Mitch was always unselfishly giving. Mitch was everyone's rock!
 
Mitch, my friend and gentle, giant teddy bear, you will be sorely missed. Please know that you impacted all of our lives in one way or another. We will always be grateful and will forever cherish all the precious and fond memories we have made with you. We are not saying goodbye, only see you later. Until we meet again, all our love, xoxoxoxo.
