Mitchell Tweten Family Support

It is with great sadness that this is being written. Our dear friend Mitchell Tweten has passed away at the age of 34. His parents, Doreen and Rob and his brother, Jordan (Karla) have informed his friends and extended family of their loss. As some of you may know, he has been going through an increasingly difficult time over the last few years and eventually distanced himself from many of his closest friends and family. No matter how much we’ve drifted, we all came from the same place and togetherness is all we have in a tragic time like this. I know we will all share in the same grief that an extraordinary person whom we’ve all held close to our hearts is gone, and far too soon. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to the Tweten family and to all affected at this terrible time. Mitchell was a beautiful person and he will be sorely missed.
To assist in easing the strain, family and friends have been sent this GoFundMe to help the Tweten family in whatever way possible. Every dollar raised will go to his family noted above. Jordan Tweten is the beneficiary of all funds. Thank you, with deepest sympathies.

With very heavy hearts we announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle, Mitchell Mel Tweten. He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Rob and Doreen; brother, Jordan (Karla); nephews, Connor and Oliver; niece, Avery and girlfriend, Brittney. Mitchell also leaves his Grandpa Mel Tweten and Grandma Rachel Hammel as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his Grandma Phyllis, Grandpa Leonard, Auntie Laurie, Uncles Chuck and Dwight, and cousin, Brielle.
Mitch was born and raised in Medicine Hat, graduating from McCoy High School. After exploring various career paths, Mitch found his place at the Goodyear Tire Plant, where he worked from 2011 until his passing. Known for his remarkable talent and determination, Mitch excelled at whatever he set his mind to. His colleagues and friends will always remember him as someone who could make anything seem effortless, whether in his work or personal pursuits.
Mitch had a deep love for sports and activities that fueled his adventurous spirit. He was a passionate soccer player, earned a blue belt in karate, and spent his early years in Beavers and Cubs. His true passion, however, was skateboarding, where he spent countless hours perfecting his craft. Mitch also had a unique talent for Guitar Hero, where his skills were nothing short of legendary.
Beyond his hobbies, Mitch's love for the outdoors was evident in his favourite pastimes. He cherished time spent swimming, camping, and boating at Elkwater with the Fogen family. He was an enthusiast of motorbikes and cars, always drawn to the thrill of the open road. His infectious sense of humour, caring personality and beautiful smile touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Mitch was a genuine friend to many, and his absence leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. His loyalty, warmth, and unwavering kindness will be remembered forever. To those who knew him, Mitch was more than just a friend—he was family.
Rest in peace, Mitch. You were loved deeply, and you will be missed always.
