On Sunday, September 17th, Mitch Van Linge, my sister Amy's husband and the father of their four beautiful children, was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident in San Diego. Despite all efforts, Mitch tragically lost his life in this accident, leaving Amy and their children absolutely devastated.
As many of you know, Amy, Mitch, and their children lived a bi-coastal life, with Amy and the kids residing in their home in South Carolina while Mitch lived here in San Diego. This arrangement allowed them to make the most of their precious time together, and they had a glorious summer filled with beautiful memories that they will cherish forever.
Mitch lived a full life, and the impact of his loss on Amy and the children is immeasurable; they’ll miss him forever. Now, Amy and the kids face an incredibly challenging journey ahead. They must travel to San Diego for an unknown period of time to make arrangements and have a celebration of life for Mitch. Mitch was the main provider for their family, and this tragic event will undoubtedly have a substantial financial impact on them, compounding the emotional strain they are already experiencing.
In an effort to help alleviate some of the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time, I asked Amy if I could set up this GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to cover the costs associated with Mitch's funeral, travel expenses for Amy and the children, and to provide financial support as they navigate life without him. Losing a loved one is an incredibly challenging experience, and the last thing we want Amy and the children to worry about is finances.
