Mitigate Moneys of Magnificent Marrieds Moving Meagerly

My spouse and I are making this GFM to request your financial help. We'd like to afford a long-distance move without getting ourselves into money trouble.

I am a former victim of financial abuse. Two years ago, my parents manipulated my spouse and I into entering an unsafe living arrangement. The situation deteriorated; it became clear that my parents were so toxic we couldn't remain in contact, let alone rely on them for support of any kind.

We ended up fleeing our new home mere months after we'd moved in. We were unable to quickly recover from the disruption to our lives, and, in the end, we took refuge with my in-laws over 1000 miles away.

Since leaving, we’ve kept in touch with a group of friends who want to help us relocate. After coordinating together, we've finally lined up a new place for my spouse and I to live. However, because our destination is so far away, we can't afford to move without bleeding our bank accounts dry. We've postponed our plans many times, but it’s made little difference in our financial readiness.

I suffer from a chronic illness that significantly interferes with my daily functioning. My ability to work any job has always been limited by it. It would be foolish to try single-handedly earning the amount we need in the timeframe required by overloading my work queue.
