Many people don't know that prior to my meteoric political rise, I was a rescue out of the Portland branch of the Oregon Humane Society. With their care and proper placement, they found me a fur-ever family that accepted me for who I was, a rescue kitty that needed some special love and attention. I'm so grateful for the life they've made possible for me, and the lives of cats and dogs they save every day.
