Mitzi McEnaney Cancer Fund

So, this is my bestie, Mitzi McEnaney, and she’s a WARRIOR! She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has been receiving chemotherapy treatments every two weeks since January. Many of her friends aren’t even aware that she is ill because that’s just the kind of person she is. She likes to do things on her own. Well, her daughters and I couldn’t let that happen!
She is now scheduled for two simultaneous surgical procedures on June 3rd. One is to remove any remaining cancer and lymph nodes and the second, a newer surgical procedure, Lymphaticcovenous Bypass, that can reduce her chances of a life-long chronic condition known as lymphedema. This special surgery reduces the odds of her getting lymphedema from 40% to 4% and the success rate has been fantastic! Due to her medical condition, her surgeon recommends that she have BOTH of these surgeries--and they need to be done together on June 3rd. She just received the devastating news last week that her insurance has denied payment for the second surgery. The cost of the second surgery alone is about $12,000. This amount does NOT include the surgery that insurance has approved.  It also does NOT include any of the previous chemotherapy costs already incurred or the daily radiation treatments that she will have to have after surgery has been completed. With the help of her friends and co-workers at Stuckey & Troutwine CPA's, her go-to phrase during this battle has been "NOT TODAY SATAN, JESUS IS MY PROTECTOR"!

Mitzi is a single mom to two beautiful daughters, Lindsay (Nathan) Reep and Kaitlyn McEnaney, and “Gammie” to two precious grandbabies. She has continued to work as much as she can since being diagnosed in January, as she is the only source of income. As you can imagine, she has missed a lot of work since January.
First and foremost, we would like to ask for your PRAYERS for complete and total healing for Mitzi. She has been a faithful servant of Christ and He has seen her through many difficult times. We have complete faith that He will see her through this as well

Secondly, we would like for you to consider donating toward the cost of the surgery that the insurance has denied payment for, and any additional treatment, so that she doesn’t have to face even more medical bills than she currently has. If we can go above and beyond this goal, all the better! What a BLESSING it would be for her to have enough funds to pay for additional medical bills, daily bills that she may be struggling with and travel expenses, as she will continue to drive to OSU in Columbus every day for six weeks (after surgery) for her radiation treatments.  In addition, she is unsure of what lies ahead after radiation is completed.
We would like to THANK YOU in advance for your PRAYERS and any donations you feel led to give. To help get the word out, PLEASE SHARE the link to your Facebook Timeline and all other social media, email and/or contact lists so that we can meet this goal for my sweet friend to make the financial burden a little easier. May God bless each of you!
