Mixed Palette Devastating Fire Appeal

Sadly, on the evening of Thursday 3rd November 2022 there was a devastating fire at the Mixed Palette Inc. premises in Baralda Court, Rockingham. Fortunately no one was hurt, however the fire damage has been extensive, resulting in the loss and damage of everything inside - artwork, art materials and equipment, furniture etc.

Mixed Palette members are all shocked and devastated by the news - the loss of their studio venue, the loss of all their artwork which has literally been years in the making. It is with a very sad heart that they have had to cancel their weekly art classes as well as their upcoming art exhibition which was scheduled to open in early December 2022 at the Gary Holland Centre, Rockingham - an exhibition the artists have been working towards for the last two years.

This Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise vital funds to keep Mixed Palette operational and to help them get back on their feet as soon as possible.

Mixed Palette Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers providing weekly art workshops for artists with intellectual disability from the Rockingham and surroundings areas at minimal cost. Sadly the group did not possess contents insurance due to the prohibitve cost and their limited income/budget, so the loss is very real and huge. Mixed Palette have been in operation since 2007 and with the fire and consequent loss of years of their artwork and art materials, they will have to start again from scratch. To begin with, finding a new venue in Rockingham, and purchasing art materials and equipment such as easels, which is what these funds will be used for.

So please get behind this very talented and inspiring group of artists - including core artists Rebecca, Candice, Hannah, Katrina, Angelina, Richie, Sam and Rosie - experiencing such a devastating loss, and make a donation.
