Help me evacuate my Family From Gaza

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Asil Naser.

I am a Palestinian from Gaza currently living abroad. I am reaching out with a difficult request to help save my family in Gaza from dying - or more accurately from being killed in an Israeli bombing or a lack of access to food, clean water and healthcare. My mother Kafa, my father Khaled, my brothers Rami and Amjad (13 and 17 years old), my auntie Wafaa, my uncle Mahmoud, and my cousins Amir and Majd (23 and 26 years old) are all stuck and require financial support to leave the Gaza Strip immediately.

Here’s a little bit about me and my family:

I have lived in Gaza all my life - in beautiful Gaza. I survived more than six Israeli aggressions before I left Palestine to continue my studies in business analytics in Dublin, Ireland. I was only in Ireland for a few weeks when the indescribable and brutal genocide of Palestinians started. To be honest, it would have been much easier for me to be among my family in Gaza under heavy Israeli bombardment rather than watching everything unfold on the news.

Since the start of the attack on Gaza after 7 October, my family has been displaced more than three times. First from Gaza City to Khan Younis in the south and now they are living in a tent in Rafah, the most southern area in the Gaza Strip. They are facing dire circumstances as they lack access to food, clean water, and warmth in these cold days.

The situation is becoming increasingly critical with the spread of diseases, a scarcity of essential needs, rainy days where their tent floods and the heightened risk due to the conflict and ongoing bombardment around them. There is nowhere safe in Gaza - it is true what the UN says!

The closer picture in Gaza is even far more dire than what the media is covering and by every passing day the lives of those who survived the bombing is threatened by other factors such as the lack of decent shelter, lack of clean food and water, even the lack of access to bathrooms and the inevitable spread of diseases.

My father and mother are both unwell. They suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. I’m even more afraid for my younger brothers. They’re drained and too exhausted. They are living in a tent together with my auntie, my uncle and two cousins. They’re all at risk of losing their lives and I feel helpless.

We have lost beloved relatives and friends in Gaza. We have also lost everything we own in Gaza. Our home is now shattered to the ground which was located next to Al-Quds Hospital. We keep reminding ourselves that the material is not what is most important.

My family - my mother, my father, my two brothers, my auntie, my uncle, and my two cousins - are not able to survive in Gaza anymore. It is so sad to say this! We hope to return to Gaza one day soon but for now, they need to leave to maintain their health and simply to stay alive…

The only way for them to survive at the moment is to leave Gaza through the Egyptian borders - namely through the Rafah crossing point. However, in order to leave Rafah crossing you are currently required to pay USD 7000 - 10000 per person and this cost is on the rise by the day.

For this reason, I am reaching out to you all. I am doing this fundraiser to help evacuate my family before I experience any loss and most importantly because each one of them is a brilliant and beautiful human being that deserves to live their full life!

Everyone in Gaza deserves to live their life to the fullest.

I wish I was able to provide for my family without the support of good humans like yourselves and this is not an easy ask. I am the eldest of my siblings so I have a responsibility to help my family out. Being a student in Ireland, my only option at the moment is to seek your support.

The Palestinian cause is a noble one - we will remain steadfast in the face of Israeli colonialism and your support today will help ensure that at least one Palestinian family finds safety while the bombardment and brutal conditions in Gaza prevail.

Palestinians must survive this - we must survive - and you can help.

Thank you so much for considering this cause to donate to. Words cannot express how much international solidarity has meant for all Palestinians.

Sincerely,

Asil
