My Medical Mission to Haiti

Donation protected
Hey guys! Many of you know my story, but some may not, so I'll share a little of it here! I knew from a very early age the Lord has been calling me to be a NICU nurse because I was a baby in the NICU, and He is calling me back into what He called me out of.  Despite many, many trials in my life, in 2013 I was accepted into Shorter University's School of Nursing.  As a reqirement of the nursing program, each student must fulfill a medical mission to Cap Haitien, Haiti.  So, June 15-29 2014, myself and 14 of my classmates flew into Cap Haitien to provide assistance and medical care to the Haitian people through the foundation Eternal Hope in Haiti.  We were also priveleged to get to spend time with the children of Hope Haven Orphange.  Both the foundation Eternal Hope in Haiti and Hope Haven Orphanage were founded and are run by Twilla Haynes who is one of my professors at Shorter.  While we were there, we held 5 clinics were we provided healthcare, medication, food, clothing, and the love of Jesus to hundreds of people, all free of charge. Haiti is the poorest country in the nation, and while this may be true, they also have an understanding of something so many of us lack in the United States-- the love of Jesus.  They have absolutely nothing, but most of them still worship Him.  This trip to Cap Haitien changed so many things about me, and I will always have such a special place in my heart for those amazing people. And, Lord-willing, I will return one day and again be the hands and feet of Jesus to those precious people again.

While this trip was an experience of a lifetime, it did not come freely.  In its entirety, the trip will cost me $5500 out of pocket.  I have already had quite a few people sponsor me, but I still owe Shorter $3220 and it must be paid in full before I can graduate in May of this year.  I would greatly appreciate any financial help you can offer me so that I can get this balance paid and move forward to be the hands and feet of Jesus to NICU babies and their parents for years to come! If you cannot offer me financial assistance, I greatly appreciate your prayers as I am preparing to finish up one chapter of my life and walk into the destiny the Lord has set before me!

Thank you and may God bless you and yours!
