MaKayla Bryant, known by family and loved ones as MK, has made a heavenly transition to be with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. MaKayla was a beautiful, brilliant and accomplished young scholar from Chicago, Illinois. MaKayla proudly graduated from the illustrious Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice in the fall of 2020. MaKayla went on with hopes of pursing a Masters in Community Psychology. MaKayla was profoundly known to the campus of FAMU as a captain of the FAMU Cheer Team, a member of SISTUHS, Inc., and as the treasurer of the Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society.

 

MaKayla was a dedicated spring 2019 initiate and member of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. MaKayla is deeply loved, admired and indefinitely adored by her sorority sisters and will leave a lasting imprint of perseverance and precision on us all.

 

The family and friends, FAMU community, and the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., are immensely grieving from the untimely passing of our beloved Rattler.

 

At this time, we are asking for monetary and spiritual support for the Bryant-Carpenter family in hopes to relieve the family of any financial stress. All donations will be directly dispensed to MaKayla’s mother, Lanette Carpenter. We thank you for your support and prayers as we begin our journey of peace, understanding, and healing.
