On September 30, 2022, the Stuart family got life-altering news. After spending days in the hospital getting tested and scanned for everything you could imagine, Doug was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, or AML. For those who know Doug, they know he will always go above and beyond for anyone that needs help. He’s a loving husband, father, and grandpa who has positively impacted so many lives with his personality and love for people. From driving hours and sitting in all weather to support his kids in their various athletic endeavors, to spending time with his grandkids as often as he can, there is no doubt that his presence in everyone is valued by everyone he is around. In the upcoming months, he’ll be going through treatment for his AML, treatment that will be not only expensive, but physically and mentally draining for him.
