Feeding America SW VA-CANstruction
Donation protected
"Canstruction® is a unique charity art exhibition and event featuring structures made by teams of volunteers, youth groups and/or Canstruction contractors. Our structures are made entirely out of full cans of food. At the end of our exhibitions or events all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations. Some Citywide Can Art Exhibition participants compete against one another in the Canstruction International Competition to win titles for the best structures. " - Canstruction Inc,
This year members of Virginia Tech's Myers-Lawson School of Construction are competing in Canstruction's Roanoke, VA exhibit. The cans of this exhibit are donated to Feeding American Southwest Virginia after the event.
By donating to this page you will be supporting the cost of cans to build our design - which showcases the MLSoC's Hokie Spirit (pictured above). For a design with over 3,000 cans of food we need your help!
The members of the team will be joining together on November 3rd to build our cansculpture at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA.
If you have additional questions or want to get involved with building the design on November 3rd, contact Ashley Johnson at [email redacted].
