Support Nathan's Family After Tragic Loss

Son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Nathan's life was tragically cut short due to gun violence as he attempted to help a friend in need.

Nathan was a bright and shining light to anyone lucky enough to call him family or friend (and most of his friends he considered family anyway). He struggled in this world, as many of us do, but he was always striving to do better and create more out of a life that was dealt a pretty harsh reality from the start. Anyone who became close to Nathan can attest to his goofy, silly demeanor, his overall positive outlook, and kindness to anyone (or any living creature) he crossed paths with. He saw beauty in the mundane, had an explorer's heart, and would literally put his life on the line to help a friend in need.

My heart is broken for my family. My heart is broken for the future that he will never have. For the family he won't be able to create. For so many generational cycles that I know he would break. This has been devastating to try and accept. It still doesn't feel real, and it probably won't for a very long time.

If you are able to help in any way, my family would be appreciative beyond words. If prayers are what you can offer, your prayers are welcomed and we are so grateful for that. If you are able to offer any monetary support, funds will be used towards covering unexpected memorial and funeral costs, to celebrate his life, assist family as they grieve, and to offset travel costs for out-of-state family to attend services.

Nate would want you to laugh. Nate would want you to remember the best, silliest memories that you shared with him. Nate would want you to extend kindness at any chance you get. I hope that is how you are able to remember him and his short, precious life.
