I (Amy Sheehan) set up this campaign for dear friends of mine, Iris McWilliams & Aaron McGilloway who are in immediate need of support.
Iris & Aaron are some of the hardest working people I know, hustling and juggling multiple jobs to provide for their beautiful four girls, while establishing a homestead life out in a far corner of Carmel Valley, CA. It's not always easy for them. Money is often tighter than they would prefer, but they are one of those families who have their priorities straight - quality time with the family - gardening, making music, raising livestock, creating art, working with their hands - take precedence over materialism.
On Monday, June 25, Aaron was in a car accident. Luckily, he sustained minor injuries, but will be out of work for at least a week while he recovers. The family jeep unfortunately was totaled and insurance will not replace. Aaron was driving the family jeep home from work that day because his work truck broke down the week before.
So the family is now carless - and virtually stuck out in Carmel Valley - unable to get to work, unable to run basic errands, or pick up two of their girls they share custody of.
Without a working vehicle, Aaron, the main breadwinner of the household, is unable to earn money, so they will quickly fall behind on monthly expenses.
This family needs a break. Let us lift them up so they can catch their breath and get back to being the amazing McFam we love.
What your donations will immediate go towards:
A safe, reliable vehicle for the family that seats 5 including a carseat. Must be 4-wheel drive.

Animal feed for their chickens, ducks, pigs, rabbits, peacocks and turkeys.
Future need:
A safe, reliable work truck for Aaron to get to & from work across the peninsula with his tools and equipment.
Additionally, they can use gift cards to Safeway (contact me directly if you have these to donate)
Please know, that the last thing Iris & Aaron wanted to do is ask for assistance from their community. They are people who make things work on their own and don't complain about the hard times they endure. They are swallowing their pride in allowing me to post this, recognizing that the only way to quickly get back on their feet is to reach out to all of you.
