Moby needs a wheelchair
Donation protected
Hi there! I appreciate you taking the time to come look at our story.
Moby is a very special dog whom we rescued about three months ago. He is almost a year old. Moby was born into the shelter when his mom came to them very malnourished, and was born with a neurological condition called Cerebellar Hypoplasia.
Because his mom was so malnourished, Moby's cerebellum is underdeveloped. This causes him to have troubles with balance and walking. This condition is supposed to get better with age, as the animal learns how to deal with this disability, but lately, Moby has been getting worse. He falls, and his back legs have been beginning not to work as he is trying to get up. He often falls when going to the bathroom. We are trying our best to hold him up, but he needs to sniff and be able to walk on his own. We want him to be able to run and be a puppy.
Moby is also in Stage 1 kidney failure. We caught it early enough that we can treat this, and he may have years left. We want him to be able to be a puppy while he can. We want the best life we can give him.
These funds would be used for a full support (aka quad) wheelchair. This will allow Moby to walk, run, and play on his own. He will be able to use the bathroom on his own, without falling in it. It will give him the support he needs to hopefully strengthen his back legs.
Any extra funds we receive will be donated to an animal shelter. The wheelchair, when we are no longer using it, will be donated to an animal shelter.
Thank you so much for reading our story. It means the world.
Alex, Jovan, and Moby.
