Dec 30 first vet appointment. His blood sugar was over 300. He was diagnosed with a pupillary ulcer and possible pancreatitis. He was put on pain meds, eye drops, and a broad spectrum antibiotic.

Jan 6 vet appointment recheck. Eye was healing very slow. Blood sugar was 290. Vet said it was not pancreatitis. Did a urinalysis vet told us he has Cushing’s disease. Was started on medication to treat Cushing’s

Jan 6-Jan 29 mocha started to lose interest in all food. So we started looking for another vet to get a second opinion.
Jan 30 mocha became lethargic. Slept most of the day. Lost all interest in food. Made an appointment with a new vet.
Feb 7 first appointment with new vet. Multiple test were run. White blood cells were elevated. Liver enzymes elevated one kidney enzyme elevated, blood sugar was 376. A test was done pacifically for his pancreas and came back positive for pancreatitis. Started him on more antibiotics pain medication and medication to keep him from vomiting. He was also given fluid therapy. (IV fluids)
Feb 9 mocha started to have trouble walking. Found a large red lump on is back left leg. Took him back to the vet. He was diagnosed with a spider bite. Prescribed topical spray and told the antibiotics he was on should take care of it.
Feb 10 mocha became more lethargic. Stopped wagging his tail. Walking became almost impossible
Feb 10 after not being able to get him in to his regular vet we took him to the emergency room. Mocha was diagnosed with Diabetic ketoacidosis (diabetic shock)
pancreatitis, and Spider bite on left leg

They are working on stabilizing him and very confused why is blood sugar levels were not addressed from the beginning. He will be hospitalized for at least a few days. If they are able to save him.

Oh this also feb 11 he also became unable to regulate his body temperature and lost control of bowel movements.
Blood sugar so high the machine could not read it. Keystones very high.
