Help Mohamed from North Gaza and his family survive the war
Donation protected
My name is Asia Rehman and I have created this fundraiser on behalf of medical student Mohamed Ahmed and his family, who desperately need our help in raising donations to help with urgent food, medication and shelter supplies while they are displaced in Gaza and hopefully eventually the rebuilding of their home once the war ends. His mother, Um Mohamed, has heart failure and is in dire need of funding for her various heart medications.
This is their story as provided to me by them:
"My name is Mohamed Ahmed and I am 22 years old and a medical laboratory student. My immediate family and I consist of 9 people (my parents, 2 brothers, 3 sisters and sister in law) and we used to live in the northern part of the Strip before the October 2023 war, in Beit Hanoun.
My mother, Umm Mohamed, is very sick with heart failure; her heart functions at only 40% and since October 2023 we have been cut off from her medications and medical treatment and she’s getting increasingly unwell. She finds it difficult and painful to walk.
The bombing around us is constant and most days we are running for our lives while people around us are being killed by air strikes. The young children in our family are terrified they will die and have become extremely traumatised.
We are taking shelter in a tent which has no basic necessities of life. It is currently winter and we are freezing at night. Heavy rainfall has flooded our tents and it is impossible to keep dry. The cold severely impacts the health of my mother and her heart condition. She is constantly sick.
Food and clean water are scarce and we rely on your kind donations to afford to buy food and water which are extremely expensive. We also need warm clothes for ourselves and the young grandchildren in our family.
I am currently volunteering at a charity pharmacy where I spend most my time sourcing baby formula, vitamins and medication for other displaced Gazans for free. Your donations will enable to keep me fed and able to carry on my work and it will ensure my family are fed and kept warm.

We rely on your generosity and kindness to help us survive this war and hopefully rebuild our home and our lives once it ends. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
