Mohammed Baig - Adult Still's disease Patient

I have started this page on behalf of our beloved brother Mohammed Baig.

For those who don't know Baig, he is a 29-year-old student. He is a kind, caring, and supportive person and is a close friend of mine.

I have known him for the past 3 years. Just over a year ago, Baig was diagnosed with Adult Still's Disease and has been trying to recover since. The cause of this disease is unknown but his body started showing symptoms after his second dose of covid-19 vaccine and the doctors also assume that reason behind his disease is his vaccine. His body has deteriorated dramatically, weighing 50kg, down from 75kg. He was healthy and fit but now he is become so weak and has body pains in his joints and can't do much activity.

There is NO proper treatment for this disease, he is been prescribed steroids and immunosuppressants to help him combat the disease symptoms. Every month he has been spending 2000$ approx on medications and treatment which are not covered under health insurance. Being an international student in Australia, it has become very hard for him to manage all his expenses as he hasn't been working for almost 1 year, He is the sole bread earner for his family as he lost his father and brother a few years ago. every month he has to look after himself and his family as well. Due to his medical conditions, he couldn't pay his college fees and can't make enough money to manage his expenses.

For 1 year he is been receiving treatment at CONCORD HOSPITAL SYDNEY. He has also been to India for treatment and has spent a lot of money on treatments but there was no big difference in his health condition after coming back he resumed his treatment at concord hospital and since November 2022 he seems to be getting well but still, he has got to take injections every month and if he stops taking them his health might deteriorate.

Allah Ta’ala says,

“Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear nor shall they grieve.” (2:274)

“…that which you give for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase); it is those who will get a recompense multiplied.” (30:39)

The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:

“If a human dies, then his good deeds stop except for three: a Sadaqa Jariah (continuous charity), a beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him”. Narrated by Muslim.

May Allah Ta’ala, Most Merciful give us opportunities to do many ways of giving Sadaqah for His pleasure and reward us in the Aakhirah (Hereafter). Ameen.

Abu Qatadah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever grants relief to a debtor or absolves his debt, he will be in the shade of the Throne on the Day of Resurrection.”
