Mohawk Man's Moving Away Funds

My name is Casey Reynard or what some people call me, Mohawk Man. I am a 20 year old student and full time worker. I love punk and new wave music to a point that it often takes over most of my life. But along with all these things I am a transgender man. I was born female at birth but identify as a man. I use he/him pronouns, I've been on hormones for a few years even though I've lost my doctor and rights to hormones due to Florida legislation, and I've been in the process of changing my gender marker on my birth certificate. Ive worked for over a year to change my sex marker on my birth certificate in Kansas in order to live my authentic life as a man. Most importantly by having this marker changed it would keep me safe from discrimination in workplaces or social events. Seeing a man then checking his ID and it says female is very awkward on the best days and life threatening on the worst of days.

BUT
I have recently received the tragic news from my home state of Kansas that due to Senate Bill 180, any gender assigned at birth is the only legal marker allowed on birth certificates. This means after a 2 year long process of bureaucratic bullshit I can not legally change my gender marker on any of my documents. I can not change my birth certificate which means I can't change my ID or my passport which means I am at risk for any discrimination people may want to give to me because I will be outed immediately by my identification documents. Checking my ID to go to a club or bar, getting pulled over by a cop, getting hired for a job or scholarship, all these things require me to prove my gender and I now legally have to say female. There is no way around it either. The bill was vetoed by the state governor then re-voted and still passed in the senate. It is in law and it will stay that way for a bit. I have no legal work around from this. On top of all of this, my legal process was purposely slowed down in order for this bill to go into effect. They slowed down the paperwork process by making me reverify my legal name and court date for such name change even though that was years ago. Keep in mind this is all by mail and takes days to process which gave them more time to get this bill passed and keep me stuck in bureaucratic loop until they could deny me.
I have faced a lot of difficulties as a trans man especially this year. Waves of legislation and social discrimination has made my life hell. Ive personally lost my right to medical treatment, been punched by a nazi, and will now forever be denied my gender from my home state. I will never be recognized as a man where ever I go because of this.
That being said...
Through this whole process I've worked a full time job in order to save up for top surgery. I have come to the conclusion that it is unsafe and unhealthy to stay in my current state so I will relocating my savings towards moving. Ive decided to move to Portland, Oregon to start a safer and more comfortable life especially in an environment. It is not perfect but it is one step closer to a happier life. I am asking for support in order to get me out of this state by July of 2024. I appreciate any and all donations or shares you give me.
