Hello,

We are Warren, Mayke and our little 9-month-old adventurer Jake. We took a big leap of faith and left our lives in the Netherlands to pursue our dream in the beautiful Cumbres de Valencia, Spain. Here we are going to revive an old, local bar bought by us with a new and fresh concept called: Moixent's Roadhouse.

Think of a cozy, bustling place where you can enjoy delicious, local food, refreshing drinks and the warm, welcoming atmosphere of an authentic Spanish community. A place where travelers and locals come together, share stories and make memories. That's our dream for Moixent's Roadhouse!

Moixent's Roadhouse is designed as a welcoming and inclusive meeting place, inspired by the classic “roadhouse” concept. The vision is to create a central place in the community where both residents and visitors feel at home. The plan is to revive the former neighborhood bar as a vital social center, but with contemporary facilities and a wider range of offerings for all kinds of visitors. Efforts will be made to retain the atmosphere of a traditional Spanish bar while meeting the demands of tourists and active visitors.

The core of Moixent's Roadhouse is a community, where the bar will be a hub of local social life. Quality is paramount, both in the range of drinks and dishes and in the service.

The bar is for everyone: locals, tourists, bikers and cyclists who ride through the surrounding mountains every day.

But we need your help to make this dream a reality! The renovation of the property is a rather large and costly process, and all help will be greatly appreciated. Your contribution will allow us to:

Our goal is to raise 20,000 euros for the complete renovation, new equipment for the kitchen, partially new interior of the bar, renewing the electrics, preparation for solar panels and a playground equipment for children for the terrace as well as changing from an Autónomo (ZZP) to a Sociedad Limitada (BV) as we know it in the Netherlands.

If the desired amount is not reached, every donated euro will be used to achieve the best possible result within our project.

All accommodation types have full access to all facilities including our private garden and swimming pool, the accommodation is our private guesthouse which has been completely renovated which can be scheduled from September/October 2025 and can also be planned during holiday seasons.

Wij zijn Warren, Mayke en onze kleine avonturier Jake van 9 maanden. We namen een grote sprong in het diepe en verlieten ons leven in Nederland om onze droom na te jagen in het prachtige Cumbres de Valencia, Spanje. Hier gaan we een oude, lokale bar die door ons is gekocht nieuw leven inblazen met een nieuw en fris concept genaamd: Moixent's Roadhouse.

Denk aan een gezellige, bruisende plek waar je kunt genieten van heerlijk, lokaal eten, verfrissende drankjes en de warme, gastvrije sfeer van een authentieke Spaanse gemeenschap. Een plek waar reizigers en de lokale bevolking samenkomen, verhalen delen en herinneringen maken. Dat is onze droom voor Moixent's Roadhouse!

Moixent's Roadhouse is ontworpen als een gastvrije en inclusieve ontmoetingsplaats, geïnspireerd op het klassieke “roadhouse”-concept. De visie is om een centrale plek in de gemeenschap te creëren waar zowel inwoners als bezoekers zich thuis voelen. Het plan is om de voormalige buurtbar nieuw leven in te blazen als een vitaal sociaal centrum, maar met eigentijdse faciliteiten en een breder aanbod voor allerlei soorten bezoekers. Er zal worden geprobeerd om de sfeer van een traditionele Spaanse bar te behouden en tegelijkertijd te voldoen aan de eisen van de toeristen en de actieve bezoekers.

De kern van Moixent's Roadhouse is een gemeenschap, waarbij de bar een knooppunt van het lokale sociale leven zal zijn. Kwaliteit staat voorop, zowel in het aanbod van dranken en gerechten als in de service.

De bar is voor iedereen: de lokale bevolking, toeristen, motorrijders en wielrenners die elke dag door de omliggende bergen rijden.

Maar we hebben jouw hulp nodig om deze droom te verwezenlijken! De renovatie van het pand is een vrij groot en kostbaar proces, en alle hulp zal zeer gewaardeerd worden. Jouw bijdrage zal ons in staat stellen om:

Het pand te restaureren en renoveren (bar en buitenterras) en de Spaanse flair te behouden.

Een plek te ontwerpen die comfortabel is voor iedereen en waar iedereen zich op zijn gemak kan voelen.

Een verscheidenheid aan smakelijke, traditionele gerechten en dranken te ontwikkelen, allemaal gemaakt met de meest verse, seizoensgebonden en lokale producten.

Ons doel is om 20.000 euro in te zamelen voor de volledige renovatie, nieuwe apparatuur voor de keuken, gedeeltelijk nieuw interieur van de bar, het vernieuwen van de elektra, voorbereiding voor zonnepanelen en een speeltoestel voor kinderen voor op het terras eveneens als het overstappen van een Autónomo (ZZP) naar een Sociedad Limitada (BV) zoals wij deze in Nederland kennen.

Als het gewenste bedrag niet wordt gehaald, wordt elke gedoneerde euro gebruikt om het best mogelijke resultaat te behalen binnen ons project.

Jouw steun zal ons niet alleen helpen om onze droom te verwezenlijken, maar ook om een geweldige ontmoetingsplaats te bouwen voor de lokale bevolking en reizigers.
