In july of 2016, I got suddenly and critically ill. I was in liver failure. I needed a liver transplant. 6,000 people a year receive this gift of life in the USA; 16,000 die on the waiting list. I was scheduled to die. Through a series of miracles, I received a liver on Oct 31 2016.

The pathology report on my old liver revealed some cancerous cells. had this been known I would not have been transplanted. Miracle #4567.

Unfortunately, these cells metastisized to my adrenal glands. The masses showed up on a routine scan in late august. I have finished a course of chemo and am scheduled for a bi-lateral adrenlectomy on 15 November.

With the help of family, I was able to sustain the year-long recovery from the transplant including the pricy co-pays for the medications that support my new liver and other essential care.

My family can not support another 6-12 month recovery and the additional medications that I will require to replace the steroids and hormones that the adrenals produce.

I am writing the book of my life and am seeking $100k to support me and my medications for the year I need to heal, and finish the manuscript.
