Molly's Landing Crew

Hi,

 We are Lyslie and Sydney Lewellen. Our husband/dad has been one of the leaders at Molly's Landing for over 30 years and like so many others he lost a big piece of his world early Friday morning.

Molly's plays an important part in so many of our lives. It is the place where we celebrate anniversaries, birthdays and get engaged. It is where you go when you want the best steak. Personally, it's where I met my husband. For the 22 people of Molly's Landing's Crew, it plays a very big part of their world. 

When you work for a family-run restaurant, it is an extension of that family. The holiday season is normally Molly's busiest time of the year. The next four weeks are when Russ, Doug, and Jerry would be relying on their 22 employees more than ever. They typically have holiday parties booked every week until after Christmas. This is when their employees work the hardest. They don't complain, they greet you with a smile, and they tell you good night. The guy in the kitchen is there an hour after the last customer leaves, finishing up.

Tragically that all went away Friday morning with the news that there had been a five-alarm fire at Molly's.  This was absolutely devastating to the people who work at Molly's. That is why we started this GoFundMe. In hopes of helping out Molly's loyal employees during the holiday season. We know they will find other jobs eventually, but we are hoping to help get them through the next few weeks.

Waking up the day after Thanksgiving and finding out your livelihood is gone is overwhelming, so if you could donate to our GoFundMe we would really appreciate it. Everything that is donated on this GoFundMe will only go to the 22 employees who are out of a job right now, not the building, the owners, or anything else. If you are unable to donate we understand, but if you could share this to get the word out that would mean the world to us. Anything helps, we are hoping to give the employees some peace of mind and a little time to grieve because we are all really missing Molly's and Linda right now.
