Molly's "the breast" and she needs your help!

Hi, my name is Sarah, and I am fundraising for my best friend, Molly. Everyone knows Molly Lartz. She is always at your birthday party, sending care packages, cutting your hair. If you are lucky enough to know Molly, then you know everyone loves her. And I love her so much. Molly doesn't like asking for help; she is more known to give it. But right now, she needs your help, so I'm asking.

 

In February of 2021, Molly found out she was BRCA1 positive. With that gene comes a high risk for breast, ovarian and pancreatic cancer. She knew this was a possibility based on her family's history, so she was mentally prepared to go forward with the surgeries that would eliminate the high probability of breast and ovarian cancers.

 

In July 2021, she had a hysterectomy at only 36 years old. That surgery came with complications and a longer-than-expected healing time. The overall experience of that surgery was awful, so she had to switch to an out-of-network hospital for her next surgery - double mastectomy and reconstruction.

 

Molly tried to deal with the financial responsibilities of these surgeries on her own by continuing to work full-time as a hairstylist and adding a second remote job from home. But after missing 4 months of work (unpaid - she is a self employed hairstylist - Check out mull.artz on IG )  within a year, along with losing part of her business due to covid, handling this next medical expense is no longer possible.

 

So let's help Molly. She is the greatest friend in the entire world. She is always there to answer your calls, make you laugh, be supportive, get your drinks, give you hugs - she is the best. If you know her, you know she has helped you somehow, and here is your chance to literally re-pay her for her kindness and love.
