Dear Friends,

I come to you today with a request for help for a single mother and her child who have been through a difficult and traumatic experience. This mother, whom for safety reasons we will call Lena, had to flee her home with her 1.5-year-old daughter because of domestic violence. She left everything behind and now finds herself with no home and no money.

Lena is a brave and courageous woman who has taken the steps necessary to protect her child and herself. But now, she needs our help. She needs a safe place to live, food to eat, and a way to support herself and her daughter.

As a community, we have the power to make a real difference in Lena's life. We can provide her with the resources she needs to start over and create a new life for herself and her child. That is why I am asking for your help today.

Vengo a ustedes hoy con una solicitud de ayuda para una madre soltera y su hija que han pasado por una experiencia difícil y traumática. Esta madre, a quien por seguridad llamaremos Lena, tuvo que huir de su casa con su hija de un año y medio a causa de la violencia doméstica. Dejó todo atrás y ahora se encuentra sin hogar y sin dinero.

Lena es una mujer valiente que ha tomado las medidas necesarias para protegerse a sí misma y a su hija. Pero ahora, ella necesita nuestra ayuda. Necesita un lugar seguro para vivir, alimentos para comer y una forma de mantenerse a sí misma ya su hija.

Como comunidad, tenemos el poder de marcar una verdadera diferencia en la vida de Lena. Podemos brindarle los recursos que necesita para comenzar de nuevo y crear una nueva vida para ella y su hija. Es por eso que pido su ayuda hoy.
