Mom Leaves: Dad With No Arms or Legs Raises Girls

Sometimes you read a story that touches your heart and simply compels you to act. That is what happened when I read about Pablo Acuña who was born with a limb deformity that left him with no arms or legs. Despite being abandoned by his wife, he (along with his mother - who is now 94 years old) raised two little girls from babies to adulthood. He is an inspiring human being who you can read more about at the Epoch Times where I came across this beautiful story just a few days ago: Wheelbarrow Dad Story
At 63 years old, Pablo wishes that he could own his own home where he lives in San Pedro del Parana, Paraguay with his mother, his daughter (Elida), and her two young sons.
I contacted the reporter who wrote the story on Pablo and his family. I immediately got in touch with his daughter Elida via Whatsapp and found out how much the house is that they want to buy (its the one they have rented for a long time). The cost is ~90,000,000 Paraguayan Guarani or ~$12,500 USD.
So, here we are. Let's work together to buy a home for Pablo and his family!!! It will change their lives! They haven't asked for it, but they are worthy of it. When I told them what we were trying to do with a Gofundme they were absolutly amazed. I know that there are many people in need around the world, but every now and again the universe reaches out and says "this one, now." If you have any questions, please contact me via Gofundme.
For those interested, the logistics are as follows. Paraguay is not a Gofundme country. My wife and I will collect the funds and send them to the owner of the home, who has rented to Pablo and his family for a number of years. Needless to say, there is a lot of trust and good will there. We will have a simple document in Spanish and English that explains the logistics of what we are doing and that will be signed by all parties. Thankfully, it is much easier for Pablo to buy a house in Paraguay compared to doing it in the US. Once the transaction is completed, we will provide a follow up to this story complete with photos and commentary from Pablo and his family.
