Mom of 3 severely injured at new Elk Grove park

Hello everyone,

My name is Jillian and I am a good friend of Jolene and Alyssa Ayala. Last week, Jolene broke her leg in three places. She has torn ligaments, membranes, and nerve damage. Jolene and Alyssa run Over the Rainbow Daycare and they took the kids on a field trip to the new park here in Elk Grove, CA, District 56, by the Elk Grove aquatic center. They had just opened their gates that morning! While walking with her son up the playground hill, Jolene slipped and slid down the hill. Not only has this traumatized Jolene, but her son, her day care children, and her wife!

She landed on her left leg, causing severe breaks and damage. Jolene has been hospitalized for the past 6 days. She had surgery on Monday, October 25th, where they placed metal plates and screws to hold the leg together for healing.

Jolene is under strict bed rest for, at the minimum, 6 weeks. She will need to do physical therapy to learn to walk again and will not be able to live her normal day to day life.

Due to this unexpected and unfortunate situation, Jolene and Alyssa had to close down their daycare, which was their primary source of income. Since Jolene will be on complete bed rest, Alyssa is now having to be her care taker. Jolene may never be able to have complete use of her leg again and may always have a limp or pain.

Jolene and Alyssa have three kids. Danny, Dillon, and Freddie. They are an incredible family and great friends. I am so upset to see their lives changing this way.

 

 

I would love to set this up for Jo and Alyssa and their boys, so that they can pay their bills these next couple months while Jolene heals.
