Help Jasmine Maria and 4 Children Leave USA

Dear Supporters,
I’m reaching out to you today with a humble heart, asking for your support as I navigate a challenging chapter in my family’s life. My name is Jasmine “Jas” Ballinger, a woman who happens to be a mother of four beautiful children, including a set of intelligent autistic 9 year old boy /girl twins who bring light and layers of learning curves into our world every day. I have a 12 year old and 2 year old brilliant sons. However, the journey has been far from easy, and I am seeking your help to provide my family with a stable and nurturing environment.
Our Story: Over the past 7 years, my family has faced significant hardships, including the loss of stable income and the looming threat of homelessness. Unfortunately, we are houseless; before getting to this point we were living in our van; no we are in a motel shelter with little space for an active family. We are grateful to the kind shelter. As a single mother who in time past worked in education, property management, retail and aspects of creative lanes; I’ve also had to care for ill parents off-and-on while simultaneously learning special needs aspect of children. I have been juggling the demanding responsibilities of raising four children on my own. I’ve been on-and-off work for 7 years now. Early 2024,I made a conscious boundary with myself to protect my mental health. I was losing my grip on trusting my gut for my children and I. I no longer could caregive or run to assist my parents. This has been hard but put a healthy necessary boundary. My twins, who have been diagnosed and still evaluated with autism level 1 and level 2 plus ADHD and anxiety and behavioral issues require specialized care and support, which has made it even more challenging to find steady work that accommodates their needs. I’ve been fighting to keep us afloat, but childcare costs, gas for transportation, inconsistencies with running a business and the rising cost of living have made it increasingly difficult. My youngest, a 2 year old non verbal toddler, needs constant attention at this age, and I’ve had to turn down job opportunities due to the lack of affordable childcare options. As a result, we’ve struggled with housing instability, and the fear of homelessness is something I live with every day. When it comes to my health, I need major dental surgery; my government insurance is not able to pay for the kind procedure and quality after care. I will need 3 weeks to heal and arrange a childcare sitter. So far I’ve been rinsing my mouth with peroxide to remove a bit of infection. However, it’s getting critical to get dental work.
Our Goal: A Fresh Start
I’m raising $25,000 to help secure a safe and stable home for my family. These funds will be used to:
• Secure housing to prevent us from facing homelessness again, providing a stable environment for my children, especially my twins who thrive on routine.
• Childcare support for my toddler, allowing me to pursue work opportunities without the constant worry of leaving him in unsafe or unaffordable conditions.
• Gas and transportation costs so that we can attend therapy appointments, school, and potential job interviews.
• Exploring the possibility of moving abroad to a country where the cost of living is more manageable, healthcare is much better, and where my children can thrive in a supportive community.
Why Your Support Matters:
Your donation, no matter the size, will make a tremendous impact on our lives. By supporting us, you’re not just helping a family black woman and her children in need; you’re giving us a chance at a stable, thriving future. Your generosity will allow me to provide a nurturing environment where my twins can receive the care they deserve, and my other children can experience a life free from the instability and anxiety we’ve faced for too long. If you’re unable to donate, sharing our story with others would mean the world to us. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can provide.
Together, we can turn a new page for my family and help us find the stability we desperately need.
With gratitude,
Jasmine “Jas” Ballinger
