Mom of 8 with brain tumour (cancer or benign tbd)

Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m home! I’m ending my fundraiser this weekend. 3 years ago I was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. I’m a mom of 8 children, 6 of which are twins ages 11, 10, and 4. My oldest two are 18 and 16. I have the best family, friends, and friends of my family and all of you donors! We are so grateful and appreciative of ALL your support and help along the way. Thank you for all the prayers as well.

This summer my tumor grew 5 times faster than expected and had a craniectomy November 7th 2023. My tumor ended up eating into my skull and it was unable to be replaced so I quite literally have a hole in my head! There is still a long road to recovery and l’m very dependent on my loving husband Maggi who helped me through all this and never left my side! My parents came from the US to watch our oldest twins and we are appreciative and blessed for their help as well as my mother in law Freydis who had the youngest twins. Thank you all. Without your help we would have worried the whole time we were away.

I go for my next mri in February to make sure the part of the tumor that was left isnt growing. I had a small portion attached to my sinus. If it is I will have radiation. The pathology came back Cancer Free! I’m beyond blessed by that news. Hopefully it never comes back!
