Mom, wife and local business owner-Brain Surgery

My name is Caitlin and my sister is Courtney Weary. Courtney is a mom, wife and local business owner. You also know her as someone who goes above and beyond for anyone and is always there to help anyone in need. As many know Courtney had brain surgery last year also and as she started to heal and become healthy again she took a horrible fall and hit the bottom of her spine. When she fell it made the surgery site move which in return caused the brain to move and also caused a pseudomeningocele which is a large pocket of fluid that is now pressing on the root nerve of her spinal cord. This has caused many new symptoms such as exhaustion, seizures , eye twitching, severe neck and back pain, headaches, nausea, confusion, hands going numb and a few other things. During this surgery they will be creating a shelf inside the skull to hold the brain in place, they will also be draining the pseudomeningocele and also add a metal plate to cover the brain. The doctors encourage her to come as soon as she can ,but for financial reasons and as a small business owner which means no paid time off she has asked the surgery be done in December which is the latest date the Neurosurgeon is willing to go. She will have the brain and spinal surgery on December 22nd at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. While this isn't the best time with two kids financially Courtney knew she needed time to work and of course she wanted more than anything to make sure her cleaning customers were all taken care of for the holidays.

Courtney will be out of work for 2 months and I'm hoping with this fundraiser we can help take some of pressure and worry on how she will keep up with bills, hotel fees/ gas money for the trip to Baltimore Maryland for both the surgery and the post operative appointment a week after surgery. This will also hopefully help them not stress Christmas for their two kids and will help Courtney to not feel stressed about rushing back to work and she can focus on healing.

When I was asking Courtney questions she said her daily life is getting miserable and not only miserable ,but depressing. This is effecting her as a mom and wife and is also taking away some of the best years of her life.

Courtney asks that anyone who can just pray for her. Pray she gets her life back because she just wants to enjoy life, her kids, her husband and everything in life!

She knows God is the ultimate physician and that he is going to be there for her and her family.
